Content Guidelines

Content on Artificane must be substantively created using AI generation tools — not merely processed through filters, color grades, or AI-powered enhancements applied to entirely human-produced footage.

• The core visual or audio material must be produced by an AI generation model (e.g., text-to-video, image-to-video, text-to-image rendered into animation, or AI-generated voice synthesis).
• Using AI tools to composite, upscale, or stylize footage that is primarily human-shot does not qualify.
• Hybrid works that combine AI-generated segments with human-shot footage are permitted, provided the AI-generated portions form a meaningful and disclosed part of the final film.
• The tools used must be disclosed accurately in the submission form. Misrepresenting your tool stack is a violation of these guidelines.

The following categories of content are not permitted on Artificane under any circumstances:

• Deepfakes of real people without consent. AI-generated likenesses, voices, or performances of identifiable real individuals are prohibited unless you have explicit, documented consent from those individuals.
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any content that sexually exploits or depicts minors is illegal and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to relevant authorities.
• Graphic violence. Gratuitous depictions of gore, torture, or real-world violence presented for shock value are not allowed. Stylised or narrative violence with artistic intent may be permitted at the moderation team's discretion.
• Hate speech. Content that dehumanises individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics is prohibited.
• Copyright infringement. Reproducing, recreating, or closely imitating copyrighted characters, scripts, or other intellectual property without authorisation is not permitted.

Artificane is a home for AI cinema, not an ad network. Sharing your own work is welcome — turning the feed into a billboard is not. We do not ban creators for promoting themselves; instead we apply graduated enforcement and let our ranking systems automatically demote low-value promotional content.

• Allowed. Genuine AI films, including work that carries your own branding, as long as the film stands on its own as content and the tools used are disclosed accurately.
• Branded content must be disclosed. If a film is sponsored, paid for, or made to promote a product, service, or app, you must mark it as branded content at upload. Undisclosed paid promotion is a violation.
• Prohibited. Content with no value beyond an advertisement; links, handles, or referral codes stuffed into titles or descriptions; near-duplicate reposts of the same upload; and films whose only purpose is to redirect viewers off Artificane.
• Enforcement. First-time issues typically result in a warning and reduced distribution rather than removal. Repeated or deliberate spam leads to suspension. Independently, promotional content that viewers skip or report is automatically downranked in the feed and trending surfaces.

Transparency is a core value of Artificane. All creators are required to accurately attribute their work:

• You must disclose every AI tool used in the creation of your film, including generation models, voice synthesis tools, music generation tools, and any editing AI.
• If your film uses source material — such as reference images, voice recordings, or written scripts — you must have the legal right to use that material and must disclose its origin where relevant.
• Prompts shared in your submission must be accurate representations of the prompts actually used. Fabricated or misleading prompts violate our community standards.
• Collaborators (human or AI-assisted) should be credited in the film description.

All content submitted to Artificane goes through a two-stage review process before becoming publicly visible:

• Automated review. Submissions are scanned automatically for known prohibited content signals, metadata inconsistencies, and policy violations. Films that pass this stage enter a human review queue.
• Human review. A member of the Artificane moderation team manually reviews each submission. Reviewers assess whether the content meets the guidelines on this page and whether the tool attribution is plausible and complete.
• Typical turnaround. Most submissions are reviewed within 24 to 48 hours. During periods of high volume, review may take up to 72 hours. You will be notified by email once a decision is made.
• Films that do not pass review are returned with a reason. Creators may address the flagged issue and resubmit.

If your content was removed or rejected and you believe the decision was made in error, you can appeal through the following process:

• Submit an appeal using the content dispute form. Select the appropriate dispute type and describe why you believe the moderation decision was incorrect.
• Appeals are reviewed by a senior moderator who was not involved in the original decision.
• You will receive a response within 5 business days of submitting your appeal.
• If your appeal is upheld, the content will be restored and your account standing will not be affected.
• Repeated submissions of content that violates these guidelines, or filing repeated bad-faith appeals, may result in account suspension.
